Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore: Release Details & About The Series!!

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore trailer released by Warner Bros has finally been dropped on the internet after a much wait.  Good news for potter heads! The trailer has raised so many questions and theories about the plot. It is the third installment of the “Fantastic Beasts and Where to find them” franchise that began in 2016. The movie is all set to unveil the magical world with interesting magical creatures, prominent characters, and the most interesting- a muggle doing magic

The trailer opens with a scene of Hogwarts while giving a sense of nostalgia to all viewers. Aged Albus Dumbledore played by Michael Gambon is heard saying “if you listen carefully, the past whispers to you”. This could be a hint towards the trauma of Dumbledore’s past blended with his future. Since the movie seems to be revolving around Albus Dumbledore, one can see how Dumbledore managed to save Hogwarts from the evil eye of Gellert Grindelwald.

We see Aberforth Dumbledore played by Richard Coyle, speaking to Newt Scamander played by Eddie Redmayne while revealing himself as Dumbledore’s brother but seems to look not much happy about that. We see the first look of Gellert Grindelwald of Mads Mikkelson probably removing memories from the head of Yusuf Kama played by William Nadylam. Then we see Dumbledore asking Theseus Scamander to trust him if they are going to be successful in defeating Grindelwald. We also see a shot where Newt looks incredibly excited to be traveling in the rainforest with his bow truckle.

In the third installment of the Fantastic Beasts movies, the viewers would get to see a brand new country. Newt Scamander travels to the magic school Castelobruxo in Brazil, a reference of which has also been made in the Harry Potter books but never shown in any of the movies. Just seeing the trailer doesn’t make it clear why Newt visits but it looks interesting and engaging to the audience. Newt is followed by Theseus listing the team of people trying to defeat Grindelwald. We also see Jacob being given a wand while having a massively surprised look on his face, indicating he was a wizard that also brings an explanation about he got his memory back.

Thereafter, we see a quidditch player which indicates that the viewers might be seeing an adventurous quidditch match. The next shot shows Dumbledore waving his hand around a giant rock which shows that it might be an entrance to the magic school Castelobruxo. Then we see Aberforth asking his brother whether he is off to save the world again, in of course a sarcastic way. The next shot shows a Phoenix, likely to be Fawkes, flying down to Creedence.

This indicates that the phoenix might belong to Creedence but after he dies, it goes to Dumbledore. Then we see Jacob and Queenie reconciling but then it is heard “Things are not always as they appear”. This indicates that Queenie might have been with Jacob under false pretenses. Dumbledore is then seen holding a blood pact phial still not broken. The trailer also shows the scenes of two creatures just like other Fantastic Beast movies.

Next, we see Newt and some Aurors, probably the followers of Grindelwald, fighting. Quite a remarkable scene, where Jacob withstands a spell from Queenie with a wand in his hand. Then we see Creedence slice a curse that might be Pretigo which we had seen in the battle of Hogwarts. Then, Grindelwald says that the war with muggles begins. Then we Grindelwald in some bath which looks like some giant pensive for him to view the memories of Yusuf Kama.

The next we see is Creedence running towards Dumbledore with the intent of killing him. We also see a room of requirement with a spinning cylinder of some Buddhist relevance. The cylinder takes Dumbledore and Jacob insides it indicating that it might be some transporting device. The most interesting question arises here is why Jacob? This shows that Jacob is playing a much important role in the movie. We again see some flashes of magical creatures. Then it shows Aurelius unleashing full force on Dumbledore who just raises his hand and stops it. The final scene is Jacob advising the students not to touch his wand at Hogwarts because it can do some serious damage and revealed that he got his wand on Christmas.
